The Challenge
The Arrangers' Team was challenged to fill five (5) separate conference center spaces with décor and entertainment, tying it all together under the main theme. Being our third year producing the event, we expected and prepared our vendors for last-minute client decisions and changes over the holidays. Addi- tionally, we anticipated potential damages to rental items and drafted specific contract clauses to cover ourselves and vendors accordingly. Onsite operations included getting the client's sign-off on ALL pieces over the three-day set. A very fun portion of the event, the life-sized cake version of Zumiez's founder, arrived just in time due to logistical and weather challenges. Guests feasted on the cake and enjoyed all aspects of this fun-filled evening!
Our Plan
Zumiez 100K, an annual employee recognition event, celebrated the company's 30th anniversary with a unique 1970s themed bash with décor and entertainment coordinated by The Arrangers. A faux rock band greeted guests with period tunes and evocative items from popular 70s game shows and sitcoms were placed throughout to create themed rooms. Guests packed the Studio 54 dance floor to boogie the night away. Interactive games and entertainers, customizable airbrush items, fortune tellers and a Garage Sale themed prize area entertained guests throughout the evening.
Our Solution
Following the event, the client commended The Arrangers team on our ability to take Zumiez's "wild" ideas and make them a reality through custom décor and unique entertainment. One planner shared with her colleague "There's no need to worry, The Arrangers will take care of everything. "And we did! In fact, we just finished producing the 2010 100K event, which is sure to be another award winner!
