ABOUT THIS CONTENT:
Welcome to the Mile High City! Denver has become one of the most progressive cities in the United States, surpassing 31 million total visitors for the second year in a row, and generating record leisure tourism numbers for the 12th consecutive year. This past May, Denver was home to the US Travel Association’s IPW, the travel industry’s premier international marketplace and largest generator of travel to the US. In part to such, Denver has caught the eye of meeting and convention planners.
With 300 days of sunshine, a thriving cultural, music and entertainment scene, and natural beauty, Denver combines for the world’s most spectacular playground. A young, active city at the base of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Denver’s stunning architecture, award-winning dining and unparalleled views are all here, year-round.
Early arrival to Denver...
10:00am: Downtown Denver Segway Tour
Arrive in Denver and take the train from the plane direct to Union Station in Downtown Denver. Once you drop your bags at your hotel, hop on a Segway tour to get acquainted with the city and get your first look at the Mile High City. Not sure why Denver’s called the Mile High City? It’s because we’re located exactly 5,280ft, a mile above sea level of course! Atop your Segway, cruise through Denver’s historic Lower Downtown, affectionately known as LoDo, surrounded by the best of Denver’s breweries, restaurants and shops on 16th Street Mall, Denver’s pedestrian only main thoroughfare through the heart of the city. Your two-hour tour will take you through outstanding miles of parks, trails, historic sites and Platte River views.
Stops may include: Confluence Park, Cherry Creek Paths, Denver Convention Center, Cheeseman Park, Denver Art Gallery, Denver Mint and the Capitol Building.
12:00pm: Lunch at Milk Market
Enjoy lunch at one of the city’s newest attractions, Denver Milk Market, an all-Denver, all-outstanding mix of casual and dine-in restaurants and bars. Thriving off of the idea that food in itself is a form of good magic, the Denver Milk Market unifies 16 eclectic venues for you to choose from, with the intention of drawing in 'travelers, visitors, neighbors and fans to shop a little, drink a little, eat a little and celebrate a lot' right in the heart of Denver.
2:30pm: Stranahan’s Distillery Tour*
Conceived from a shared passion for the Colorado outdoors and a proper pour of fine whiskey, Stranahan’s is palpable to Denver, popular for their smooth and flavorful American single malt whiskey. Your tour here consists of an hour-long guided expedition of their distillery, where you’ll learn about their history, ingredients, and distribution process, of course ending with a sample of their incomparable whiskey expressions. After a quick refresh back at your hotel, head back to where we arrived this morning, Denver’s historic Union Station.
*Tour is limited to those of the age 21+
5:30pm Union Station Happy Hour!
Travelers, residents, artists, free-lancers, and 9-5ers alike congregate in this renowned, 100-year-old timeless historic landmark for its diverse selection of the city’s top restaurant and bars. Union Station is also the transportation hub for the city, often referred to as Denver’s 'living room'. We recommend stopping for a drink at The Terminal Bar, where you can step up to their window and grab a Colorado craft beer from their extensive draft collection, or a cocktail from their complete selection of spirits, many of which are also distilled right here in Colorado. This famous 'living room' is a Colorado-can’t-miss!
7:05pm: Rockies Game at Coors Field
Ready or not, it’s time to 'root, root root' for the home team! Coors Field resides on the corner of Blake St. and 20th in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood and opened in 1995 to the thundering sounds of some of the original Blake Street Bombers. In the stadium, the 20th row of the upper 300s section is also at exactly one mile high. This marker is known as The Purple Row, where a row of purple seats stretch from the left field foul pole, all the way around to above the visitor’s bullpen.
Know the Lingo - so you can stay in the know, here’s a quick guide to Coors Field lingo you can expect to hear echoing in the stadium around you:
9:30pm: Post-Game Drink-Around
Coming off a Rockies win, your post-game bars are endless. We recommend the following: Blake Street Tavern and Great Divide Brewing for drinking, Cherry Cricket for food, Ophelias for live music, and Viewhouse for dancing.
8:00am: Breakfast at Snooze
Time for the Snoozers to brunch! Snooze A.M. Eatery functions through culinary innovation and an eclectic and energetic atmosphere. They have perfected the art of a breakfast sandwich, customized its pancake offerings with a pancake flight, and have endless benedict combinations – what more could you really need? Not to mention, Snooze has five... five Bloody Mary’s to choose from, rainbow mimosas (from strawberry to blueberry) and everything in between from expresso to hot chocolate. This is one stop in Denver that is sure to leave you with bragging rights, and your friends with culinary-envy.
9:00am: Head to the Foothills
Leaving the Mile High skyline in your rearview mirror, head west into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains! This all-natural beauty is the entrance to Colorado’s Rockies, with multiple tours, attractions and experiences that await, including: Red Rock Amphitheater, Dinosaur Ridge, Buffalo Bill’s Museum, American Mountaineering Museum, and more!

With platforms build into the natural landscape, and enhanced by various features such as the Free Fall, the Surf Zip, and a Race Zip, you’ll experience a lot of what Colorado has to offer from one of the most unique spots with a thrill. Our team recently experienced the thrills during our June Joy Club Outing and had a blast!
1:00pm: Lunch at Beau Jo’s
It’s no trip into the Foothills without a stop at Beau Jo’s Pizza! Beau Jo’s has become an iconic offering, home of the first oven and famous Colorado Mountain Pie first served over forty years ago. Their pies bring a perfect combination and ratio of dough, sauce and cheese, with a salad bar completing the selection of an array of healthy, fresh choices. It’s a must during any Colorado visit. While this is the iconic location, there are also several other locations throughout the mountains and Front Range.

5:00pm: Early Pre-concert Dinner at The Fort
Nestled in the foothills just west of Denver and south of Golden, The Fort is an award-winning western restaurant, having been named 'one of America’s most scenic restaurants'. Modeled after Bent’s Fort, Colorado’s famous fur trade fort built in 1833, The Fort draws culinary inspiration from the native Indian tribes, as well as Mexican and Spanish traders who were known to have dined at Bent’s Fort in the past. The Fort’s menu draws from their rich Western cultural and culinary past, with selections of fine buffalo, beef, game, seafood and more. In combination with their historic drinks and lengthy history, it is promised that you will remember your meal at The Fort forever!
