The Passions Behind the People
Each month we will be sharing the passions behind the people in the DMC Network...
This month the spotlight is on Gina Rodigou, CMP – Director of Global Sales, DMC Network.
The memory... the first time Patrick & I laid eyes on our son, Michael, with tears of joy after an emergency C-Section. At 17, he is still the miracle in our lives.
The time of day... Dinner with my Boys, sharing a meal and catching up on our day.
The movie… Bohemian Rhapsody…it’s not often we leave a theater wanting to see a movie again…this one is a gem and had us rocking in our seats!
The first job... paper route, which I inherited from my brothers when I turned 12, delivering the Providence Journal & Pawtucket Times.
The celebrity… Andy Buckley, who played CEO David Wallace on The Office, was recently the Moderator of the FICP Annual Conference; I was struck by how down to earth and engaging he was with attendees; he even called my son to offer him a future job with Dunder Mifflin.
The talent… ease in meeting people wherever I go, including elevators or on a shuttle bus.
The necessity... water, I never drink enough of it.
The luxury... relaxing in a hot spring or soothing bath.
The piece of advice… Keep it simple and just be yourself.
The quote… “The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.” - Helen Keller
The dream… a world with no fear…living life in peace…”Imagine”.
The hobby… during a trip to Sedona, the Grand Canyon North Rim, and Zion Park early in our marriage, Patrick shared his passion for photography, teaching me to use the Nikon I had given him for his birthday; and now using an iPhone makes it easy to capture a moment and revisit our memories.
The vice… Words with Friends.
The virtue… being of help to others, whether in need of a DMC partner, mentor, or friend.
The tradition… making sfeeha (meat pies) or rolling stuffed grape leaves with my Mom and passing on her Syrian recipes to Michael…his hummus may be better than mine.
The favorite place… Biarritz, France where Patrick was born and our home away from our Rhode Island home; watching the sunset over the Atlantic is a spectacular event.
The charity… Hospice Care…Angels on earth who took care of my Dad in his last days.
The breakfast cereal… Kashi Honey Almond Flax Crunch…perfect after a morning walk or yoga.
