CE Group, our San Antonio-based DMC partner, gave a warm Texas welcome on behalf of the San Antonio International Airport to hundreds of senior professionals from leading airlines, airports, and other aviation stakeholders at Routes Americas 2022 last month.

As the selected DMC partner, CE Group oversaw multiple days of pre-conference tours, a VIP program, airport transfers, and a curated networking event to include overall event planning and production support.

Elevating the stakes even higher, Routes Americas was one of the first in-person full-week programs CE Group operated since the start of the pandemic. It was also the first time Routes Americas had been held in Texas and the first time many attendees would be visiting San Antonio.

Thanks to the incredible collective team and strong relationships within the community, CE Group helped create a collaborative Routes Americas program, bringing the immense value a skilled, well-connected DMC offers — with the pictures to prove it!

Transportation and staffing

Over the course of six days, the CE Group flawlessly executed the coordination of more than 700 attendees’ airport transfers to six different hotels, along with tours and an offsite event.

VIP Tour and roping attendees in from the start

CE Group created an elevated itinerary that showed off San Antonio’s best, from a standout gourmet meal at one of the city’s most well-recognized eateries, a chef demonstration and wine pairing at the Culinary Institute of America, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the most prestigious events in the city.

Well-worth a mention of its own was an opportunity for VIP attendees to get properly suited and booted before Routes Americas jumped into full swing. CE Group arranged for a custom cowboy boot fitting for these top decision-makers, as a perfect memento of their time in San Antonio.

In the loop with local venues

Throughout Routes Americas, the unique destination was showcased through venues across the city that hosted a varied slate of activities. Attendees journeyed to the Pearl, the Henry B. González Convention Center as the official event venue, and to the Witte Museum over the course of the week.

True tastes of the city

San Antonio delivered a true taste of heat and hops to Routes Americas! All attendees were welcome to join pre-conference tours that showcased South Texan cuisine and some of the city’s best craft breweries and Fiesta flavors.

Artistic talents abound

Proving that a well-crafted event can also be a feast for the eyes, local San Antonio artists infused the event spaces with local artwork, music and — only in Texas — a gold-painted cowboy and longhorn steers.

Routes America 2022 was a major success, with teamwork at the heart of it all. CE Group’s strong relationships with San Antonio International Airport, the City of San Antonio, and Visit San Antonio ensured the event was a successful, safe, smash-hit with attendees.
