The DMC Network announced today the promotion of Aoife Delaney to Managing Director.
Aoife, who currently serves as Vice President of Business Development for the DMC Network, will begin her new role effective January 1, 2025.
“Aoife’s dedication and curiosity make her an excellent fit for this next evolution of the DMC Network, building on the strong, strategic connections she’s forged with each DMC partner in our Network. We are looking forward to the unique perspective and drive that Aoife will bring to the organization, and we are very excited about the opportunities ahead under her leadership,” said DMC Network Board of Directors chair Lorenzo Pignatti, DMCP.
“This is an exciting new chapter for us, particularly as we continue to see progress toward greater gender representation in top organizational roles within our industry. I am certain that with Aoife’s leadership, the DMC Network is poised to set new standards in the industry and expand its global influence,” added Lorenzo.
A dual citizen of both the US and Ireland, Aoife has over two decades of DMC experience, serving most recently as the DMC Network’s Vice President of Business Development.
Aoife has played a major role in expanding the DMC Network’s reach across six continents now, with a focus in recent years on integrating new voices and DMC leadership from Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
She’s also a key architect of each year’s DMC Network Exchange, earning incredibly positive reviews for the unique atmosphere and bespoke experiences she partners with each year’s host destination to create.
“I’ve truly found a home with the DMC Network and our vibrant, ever-growing community of fellow DMC leaders who shape and deliver incredible experiences for their clients, and for us as Network colleagues,” said Aoife.
“I’m excited to stay open, keep learning, and bring new ideas to continue growing the DMC Network and reinforce its position as an industry powerhouse for years to come.”
Aoife is a familiar face for many professionals across the meetings and events industry, having served as a longtime volunteer leader with the incentive travel-focused association SITE, culminating in her role as President of the association in 2021.
She is also a leading speaker and popular panelist who has contributed a rich range of insights at key events such as ADMEI’s Annual Conference, IMEX Frankfurt & IMEX America shows, and IBTM World.
Aoife will continue to lead the DMC Network from her homebase in Dublin, Ireland, and is looking forward to connecting in-person early in the new year at ADMEI’s Annual Conference in Texas, SITE Global Conference in Tulum, and at DMC Network industry events in London and the UAE.
