Chris Baker brings over two decades of experiences in the hospitality industry to the DMC Network.

Chris originally joined us in 2000 as part of our Chicago partner, CTC Destination Management, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Following the acquisition of CTC by Accent Indy in 2016, Chris took a second destination under his wing in Indianapolis and served as Vice President of Business Development for both destinations. During these years, Chris used his extensive knowledge of both destinations’ venues, restaurants, attractions and entertainment to help clients achieve their meeting, event, and incentive program visions throughout Chicago and Indianapolis.

Chris is a certified DMCP professional, won the Ovation Huggability Award in 2014, the DMC Network Jill McGregor Spirit of Excellence Award in 2015, and sat on the DMC Network Board of Managers for seven years from 2009–2015.

He is an active member of industry associations FICP and MPI and can regularly be found on the social circuit at all major industry trade shows and events — this guy is no shrinking violet! Chris’ hands-on approach with clients, passion for the travel industry, and incredible work ethic make him a popular personality.

While Chris’s work clearly keeps him busy, he has three beautiful nieces who are the apple of his eye and help him balance work and family. A fitness fanatic, Chris also hits the gym at least four times per week, practices Bikram yoga, plays golf, and ran the Chicago marathon…twice!

Still, if there’s one thing Chris can’t live without, that would be bacon. Spend a day with Chris and you’ll see he lives by the mantra that “bacon makes everything better.”

Chris, we like your style ☺
