As destination management companies face consolidation, DMC Network doubles down on independent, locally led model

New "We're Here for You" promise reflects demand for accountability, local authority and global reach

The DMC Network is sharpening its market position around a message it believes is becoming more relevant as consolidation reshapes the destination management sector: independence still matters.
The organisation has introduced a new global promise, "We're Here for You," to reflect a model built on independently owned, locally led destination management companies operating across more than 100 destinations worldwide.
At a time when private equity investment, roll-ups and multi-destination corporate platforms are changing how services are delivered across the wider meetings and travel sectors, the DMC Network is reinforcing a different approach, combining global reach with local ownership, in-market expertise and direct accountability.
Rather than presenting the change as a brand exercise, the Network says the new promise captures what clients increasingly value: faster decision-making, closer relationships and the confidence that responsibility sits with people who know the destination best.
Aoife Delaney, Managing Director of the DMC Network, said: âOur strength has always been our people - owners and teams who are deeply embedded in their destinations and fully accountable for the work they deliver. What weâve done now is articulate that more clearly. We are locally rooted in every market we serve, but globally aligned through shared standards, governance and a unified platform. That combination gives our clients confidence and consistency, while still preserving the authenticity and agility that come from local ownership. âWeâre here for youâ expresses that perfectly. Itâs about being present, responsive and personally invested in every programme we deliver.â
The DMC Network says this distinction is becoming more important as buyers navigate a market in which scale is growing, but flexibility and local authority can be diluted.
Josh DeSilva, Chairperson of the DMC Network and President of De Silva Meeting Consultants, said: âThereâs no question that the industry is consolidating, and that brings certain advantages. But it can also lead to standardisation and distance from the destination itself. What the DMC Network offers is a different model where youâre working with independent operators who have real ownership of their business, deep knowledge of their market and the authority to make decisions quickly. That independence translates into better outcomes: more flexibility, more creativity and a stronger sense of accountability. And ultimately, thatâs what clients are looking for.â
With this repositioning, the DMC Network is setting out its role as a global platform that gives clients the best of both worlds: the scale and connectivity of an international network, together with the responsiveness and authenticity of independent local operators.
