Custom Ireland gave the DMC Network HQ team a warm Irish welcome this autumn, when Lindsay and Cindy from our global sales team joined several of our DMC Network clients for a fam trip around the Emerald Isle, curated and run by our Irish DMC partner.
This fam trip marked a new milestone for the DMC Network, as we all continue exploring innovative ways to evolve and grow new best practices within the meetings and events industry. This trip gave both our HQ team members and the buyers who joined us an unparalleled chance to experience Ireland for ourselves and gave us a firsthand look at how Custom Ireland operates on the ground alongside their local supplier partners.
Everyone agreed it was a massive win/win experience that sparked new connections and strengthened existing relationships, too.

Incredible access
Making a standout impression from the get-go, our group was given a VIP greeting at Dublin Airport when met after a long trans-Atlantic flight by the airport’s Platinum Services team. The airport team was ready with friendly smiles and helping hands, as we were ushered into chauffeured transport across the tarmac and waited for the rest of our bags to arrive.
Unrivaled hospitality
Everywhere our group went, we were met with stunning views and service levels that matched them. Ireland is certainly well on its way to a strong recovery, and the properties we explored made for many a memorable overnight throughout this trip.
Highlights included time spent at Adare Manor, Mount Juliet Estate, the K Club Hotel & Resort, the Shelbourne Hotel, and the Westbury Hotel. A vibrant cultural scene
From the super traditional to the new and now, Custom Ireland once again crafted an itinerary that gave us a good sampling of what’s on offer across this small but mighty island. Activities also work for a range of events, reflecting how Ireland is an enticing destination across the entire MICE spectrum.
Two standout highlights that perfectly encapsulate this are the falconry experience we took part in at Adare Manor, and the tour we got of Dublin’s famed Windmill Studios. Name any Irish artist (and many international pop stars, too!), and there’s a good chance their voices have graced the Studio’s halls at some point.
Other action-packed activities included a 4x4 off-road adventure in Maynooth and ax-throwing at Carton House, the chance to pull our own pints and soak in an Irish dance show in Kildare, and even some clay pigeon shooting at Abbey Field Farm just outside the K Club. Saying we stayed busy truly feels like an understatement…
